Texts from your dental practice

How patients agree to receive text messages sent through DentalIQ, what the texts are, and how to stop them.

Who sends these texts

DentalIQ (DentalIQ LLC) is software used by independent dental practices. A practice that uses DentalIQ can text its own patients from the DentalIQ number, (870) 770-3832. Every text names the dental practice it is from. DentalIQ does not text anyone on its own behalf, and phone numbers are never bought, rented or shared for marketing.

How patients opt in

  • A patient gives their mobile number to their dental practice, on the practice's new-patient or patient-update form (paper or online), or in person at the front desk.
  • Next to the phone number, the form shows the consent statement below with an unchecked box. The patient checks it only if they want texts.
  • The practice then records the consent on the patient's record in DentalIQ (“Patient agreed to receive texts”), with the date and the staff member who recorded it.
  • DentalIQ sends no texts to a patient whose consent has not been recorded. Consent is not a condition of treatment, and patients can opt out at any time.
